What to expect, how to enroll, and how to opt out.

PMA Device Control offers SMS notifications to help you manage your devices securely and efficiently. This page explains what messages you'll receive and how to opt in or out.

What Messages Will I Receive?

When you opt in to SMS notifications, you may receive:

  • Account Verification Codes - One-time codes for secure, passwordless login to your account
  • Device Setup Instructions - Links to complete IoT device configuration when setting up new devices
  • Security Alerts - Important notifications when your Ring doorbell or floodlight authentication requires renewal

All messages are transactional and initiated by your actions or system security events. We do not send marketing or promotional messages.

How to Opt In

You can opt in to SMS notifications by:

  1. Logging in to your PMA Device Control account
  2. Going to your Profile settings
  3. Adding your phone number
  4. Checking the SMS consent checkbox

After opting in, you'll receive a confirmation message to verify your enrollment.

Consent Language

"I agree to receive SMS messages from PMA Device Control for account verification, device setup instructions, and security alerts. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe."

How to Opt Out

You can opt out of SMS notifications at any time by:

  • Replying STOP to any message from us
  • Updating your notification preferences in your account settings
  • Contacting support at [email protected]

After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message. You will not receive any additional SMS messages unless you opt back in by replying START or updating your account settings.

Message Frequency & Rates

Message Frequency: Varies based on your account activity. You will only receive messages when you request a login code, set up a new device, or when a security issue requires your attention.

Message and Data Rates: Standard messaging rates from your wireless carrier may apply. Contact your carrier for details about your plan.
